Team Azerbaijan will participate in the Final Round of the European Championship for the ninth time in their history and do so after co-hosting the 2017 edition together with their neighbours from Georgia when they finished fourth.
This is the first European Championship since head coach Daniele Santarelli has been at the helm of the Croatian national team. The group is young and they will play in this line-up for the first time at a major competition such as EuroVolley.
Last summer Estonia played in the European Silver League for the first time and made it to the final tournament, settling for fourth place.
The goal of the team is to reach the EuroVolley knockout stage this year – and their passionate fans could help them a lot on home soil.
Earlier this season, Romania claimed gold from the European Silver League 2019.
In the past decade, the team has been very successful, with three podium finishes in the last five editions.
