İSMAİLOĞLU Meliha said that: "in the beginning we had problems scoring high points and the defence also did not work as intended. After that, our play improved and we managed to win in straight sets. With the Netherlands, the story is clearly going to be different but we are confident. I want to thank the Turkish fans in the venue, I was so happy to see them there."
After the match, Alexandra Lazic from SWE said that: "we were expecting a pretty tough match, Turkey came from Tokyo, so it was always going to be a hard match. We have learned a lot from this game and we pushed them really hard in the first set. I am really excited for tomorrow, we need to reload now and push the battle because the next game is going to give us the chance to go further in the competition."
