Piotr Khilko has been at the helm of Team Belarus since shortly before EuroVolley 2017, which Azerbaijan and Georgia co-hosted two years ago. Back then, Belarus finished the competition in seventh place, their best EuroVolley result to this date.
There will be some changes to the roster before EuroVolley. Instead of Hanna Hryshkevich, who is out due to health issues, there will be outside hitter Alina Iliuta. Moreover, Belarusian fans will be happy with the return of famous libero Volha Pauliukouskaya. Team Belarus start their training camp ahead of EuroVolley on July 8.
"We will try to do our best. The team is in a good shape. We saw it in the European Golden League, where we claimed a historic bronze medal. Therefore, I think that we have enough time to fix our mistakes and become only stronger.”
