"Today we played better, step by step. Yesterday we lost with Russia but today we came back and the result 3-0 is really good. On Sunday we will play against Slovenia. they are a very good team, but we are getting better. We want to win on Sunday and I believe our team can do it."

Selcuk Keskin
setter and team captain (TUR)

"North Macedonia are a good team, but we fought better than them and we won. Our focus was really good today. We look forward to the next match against the home team. We still need to improve our serve. If we serve better it will be easier for us to win."

Turkey celebrate their first #EuroVolleyM win in Ljubljana

"In the first two sets we were really close to the opponent. I think that the main reason for our defeat was our lack of experience and patience. After all, this is our first European Championship. We've had two chances already and what follows is to enjoy the tournament and I hope that we will perform better in the next matches."

Aleksandar Ljaftov
outside-spiker (MKD)

"It was a tough game. In the key moments our concentration failed and that showed in the final result."

Vlado Milev
