Team Azerbaijan will participate in the Final Round of the European Championship for the ninth time in their history and do so after co-hosting the 2017 edition together with their neighbours from Georgia when they finished fourth. Azerbaijan twice claimed fourth place from the European Championship – previously doing so in 2005 as well – and have set the bar high for the 2019 edition. Their leading players are superstar Polina Rahimova, Olena Hasanova and Yelyzaveta Samadova.
