CEV EuroVolley 2023
Women
Anna Pogany was born in Berlin and grew up in Munich. She started playing Volleyball at TSV Turnerbund München, TSV Unterhaching and SV Lohhof. 2009 she was one of the first residents at the volleyball school in Vilsbiburg. She debuted in the Bundesliga two years later with the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg. In 2015 Pogany switched to Köpenicker SC and left the club two years later to play for Swiss Sm'Aesch Pfeffingen. Since 2018 she's been playing for SSC Palmberg Schwerin. This season she leads the team as the captain.
The German youth national team Pogany finished 5th at the World Championships and 4th at the European Championship 2011. 2017 she first played for the senior national team. It's now her 6th season; she played 97 matches for Team Germany and never missed a tournament.
Her biggest dream is to play at the Olympics in 2024 in Paris.
