The Red Lynxes' leaders: interview with Borja Ruiz, Angel Trinidad and Andrés Villena

Today was the third day in Pool C at #EuroVolleyM.
Spain fought persistently until the last point against Turkey, guided by team leaders Angel Trinidad de Haro and Borja Ruiz. The other team leader, Andrés Villena, wasn't playing in this match due to illness.
We have had the pleasure to interview the Red Lynxes' pillars; they have three different roles, but share the same fighting spirit.
How did you prepare for this championship and how are you now preparing specifically for the matches of EuroVolley 2021? What are your goals for this edition of the continental championship?
Borja Ruiz: "We have been preparing well, and we want to qualify for the knockout phase. In the previous match, we played well, but there were some mistakes in the last set."
Angel Trinidad: "We prepared for EuroVolley with a lot of hard work. We expect to do a good job in every game, and we will see the results."
Andrés Villena: "It was a bit different for me because I had to recover from an injury, and I did my best to get to #EuroVolleyM. I think we have a good team, and we can achieve something important."
What are your and your team's strengths, and what teammates can boost Team Spain, in your opinion?
Borja Ruiz: "I think we are a good team to play together. We have good defence and blocks. If we continue like that, we hope to reach our goal."
Angel Trinidad: "We are a team that never gives up, young and with ambition. Andrés Villena is always the key player in our team."
Andrés Villena: "Being aggressive with serve and having a good block and defence. I think there is no star player and that everyone has to help the team to achieve the first goal, that is to go to the knockout round."
Question for Borja: what are the main features of a good middle blocker?
Borja Ruiz: "It takes to be good at reading the game and understanding how it is progressing and just having a good block."
Question for Angel: what are the main features of a good setter?
Angel Trinidad: "Controlling the emotions and knowing how to make the best choice with no time to think too much. In Volleyball, everything happens really quickly, so you have to be ready to decide."
Question for Andrés: what are the main features of a good opposite?
Andrés Villena: "Two fundamental factors: strike and attack. He must know how to attack at all times, and how to choose the best type of spike. He must have a powerful attack and also an aggressive serve."
