On the eve of the women’s CEV EuroVolley 2021 semifinals in Serbia, the ceremonial premiere of the film "First 20 Years", directed by Natasa Sevic, was held at Belgrade’s Hotel M. The film is a story about Zoran Terzic, the head coach of the Serbian national team, but also about the path of the Serbian seniors to the top of the world.

Zoran Terzic took over as a national team head coach back in 2002 (then Serbia and Montenegro) and has been in charge of the Blue Ladies ever since. Under his guidance, the team has grown as one of the best national teams in the world. They are the reigning 2018 world champions and the defending European champions from the past two editions of EuroVolley. In addition, they have won two Olympic medals (Rio 2016 silver and Tokyo 2020 bronze), another three medals from the European Championships (2011 gold, 2007 silver and 2015 bronze), a 2006 FIVB World Championship bronze, a 2015 FIVB World Cup silver, three FIVB World Grand Prix bronzes (2011, 2013, 2017) and three CEV European League titles (2009, 2010, 2011), among other honours.

The legendary coach himself attended the premiere on Thursday evening, in the company of the entire professional staff of the women's national team, as well as former national team members Maja Simanic, Jelena Nikolic, Aleksandra Rankovic, Ana Zivojviovic (ex Lazarevic), Bojana Drca (ex Zivkovic), Sanja Malagurski.

CEV President Aleksandar Boricic and Serbian national federation President Zoran Gajic were among the many distinguished guests of the event.

“I was thrilled when I watched the film. It is definitely a story about the national team, about the girls and everyone who participated in our story,” Zoran Terzic said. “I am very pleasantly surprised.”
