Netherlands and Poland to quick victories in Skopje

The favorites for the top two places in Group C at the CEV EuroVolley 2023, recorded quick wins, Poland returned to the top of the table and the Netherlands finished their performance in the group stage with four wins and one loss.

In the opening match of the penultimate day in Boris Trajkovski, the Dutch celebrated over the Macedonians with 3:0 (25:19, 25:19, 25:16).

The best player, Nikola Gjorgjiev, did not perform for the hosts due to a back injury, so in his absence Ljaftov was the most effective with 14 points.

For the Netherlands, another match to remember for Abdel Aziz who scored 15 points.

In the second game, Poland won over the Danes with 3:0 (25:23, 25:9, 25:20).

Bartoj Kurek was the most effective for Poland with 12 points, and Leon finished the match with 8 points and a new service record.

Mads Jensen stood out for Denmark with 12 points.

Denmark finished this European Championship without a single victory, while Poland travels to Bari from first place.
