CEV EuroVolley 2023 Arrives in Brussels for the Eight Finals

Following an extremely successful pool phase in the city of Ghent, Belgium, the CEV EuroVolley 2023 Women has now arrived to the Belgian capital, Brussels where half of the Eight Finals and Quarter Finals rounds will take place as well as the Final weekend of the tournament.

Turkiye faces Belgium at 5 pm CEST live on EuroVolley.TV

Day two of the Eight Finals brings forward the first matches taking place in Brussels, a day after France and Italy secured their places in the QuarterFinals in Florence.

First on the court at the Palais 12 in Brussls will be Türkiye, a team coming out of the pool phase undefeated, and co-host Belgium, a team which finished fourth in Pool A. If the experience from the pool phase is anything to go by, Belgium will be relying on heavy support from the home crowd and while they are not the favourites for qualification, they will feel like anything is possible in what is expected to be an incredible atmosphere.

Poland faces Germany at 8 pm CEST live on EuroVolley.TV

In the second match of the day, Poland will take on Germany, another one of the co-hosting nations of the tournament. Despite losing Hanna Orthman to injury a few maches ago, Germany continues to be a solid team, more than capable of posing a threat to the Polish hopes of continuing what has been a great summer for them.

On the other side of the net, Poland recovered well after their defeat against favourites Serbia early in the competition, and will be having their sight set on making it into the best eight countries on the continent.
