It was a dominant Italy in first three rounds of Pool B, three undisputed wins without losing a set for the defending champs. Behind Italian national team, Bulgaria and Bosnia &Herzegovina are in second and third place with two wins and one loss

Three wins in a row for Italy

Tomorrow Pool B will move to Torino for the remaining two games for each team. Italy is dominating the Pool with three wins in first three games, while Croatia will need to win both next games to stay on track for fourth place.

The exciting challenge for at least second place sees Bulgaria, Romania, Switzerland and Bosnia & Herzegovina fighting for best placing possible.

Italy seems to be unstoppable at the moment, three undisputed wins for Davide Mazzanti’s team, who’s still saving minutes on court for superstar Paola Egonu.

In anticipation of the Elimination games at next stage, the coach used her sparingly, keeping her allocation of minutes to a minimum.

Three victories over Romania, Switzerland and Bulgaria always in front of a great and enthusiastic crowd in Verona and Monza, with a good volleyball on court and a big show on the stands, in an amazing happening for the Azzurre on the home turf.

Italy seems to be right now the real owner of Pool B.

Behind Italian national team, the battle for second, third and fourth place will be tough and wild.

Despite yesterday’s loss, Bulgaria played a good game versus Italy, facing the reigning champs without fear, but suffering the first loss in the Pool after the wins over Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

With two wins and one loss Bulgaria will face in last two games Romania and Switzerland.
