Bio
Maja Ognjenović is a symbol of the women's volleyball national team of Serbia. She was on the court when we won the first major medal with the senior women’s national team at the 2006 World Championship. She was also there in 2018, when the team won gold at the same competition. Her courage, audacity and different perspective on the game made her one of the best setters of all time.
The current World and European champion, who won silver medal in Rio and bronze medal in Tokyo at the Olympic Games, will start defending their gold at the EuroVolley against the selection of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After 10 years, Serbian volleyball players will have the opportunity to perform at home and in front of their audience, which is an even greater motivation to win another medal. With a full line-up that features players like team captain Maja Ognjenović, Most Valuable Player of European Championship in Turkey in 2019, which is the third time in a row that she has been chosen as the best player of the European / World Cup, Tijana Bosković and queen of the net, middle blocker, Milena Rašić.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the team that will make its debut against the Serbian national team. For the first time in history, the volleyball players of Bosnia and Herzegovina qualified for the EuroVolley. In the difficult first match, it will be even harder for the opposite hitter Dajana Bošković, who will play against her sister Tijana.
