The former head coach of Belgium’s standout Knack ROESELARE, Emile Rousseaux, has been at the helm of the French national team since last year. The French Volleyball Federation chose Rousseaux as the man in charge of preparing their women’s national team to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics. France qualified for EuroVolley 2019 Women in emphatic style after recording six straight wins in their pool and losing only one set in the process.
France return to play at EuroVolley for the first time since the 2013 edition when they finished the competition in eighth place. Their resume includes a bronze medal from the 2017 edition of the FIVB World Grand Prix Group 2. Their best EuroVolley result to this date is the fourth place they claimed a way back in 1951.
