Women

Hungary

Hungary have four EuroVolley medals to their name – one silver in 1975 when they finished second to the Soviet Union, and three bronze medals from 1977, 1981 and 1983. Since then, they qualified for only five continental championships, including this year’s EuroVolley co-hosted by the country. The team has also participated in three Olympic Games collecting one fifth place and two fourth places from 1972 until 1980.

Over the last years, Hungarian Volleyball has improved much, which resulted in the team clinching a gold medal in the 2015 European League and a silver medal in the 2018 European Golden League – both finals were hosted by Hungary.

The goal of the team is to reach the EuroVolley knockout stage this year – and their passionate fans could help them a lot on home soil.
