    Grozdanov grew up in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Sport has always been a big part of his family's life: his parents were rowing athletes.
    Since he was a child, Alex tried different sports in school, like football, swimming, folk dance, choreography dancing, and finally, he started playing Volleyball.
    At 17, he achieved his first professional contract with Dobrudja 07, where later on in the same season, he entered in starting six and became champion of Bulgaria with his team.
    At 18, Grozadanov was still in the same club winning the Bulgarian Cup, and after this year, he took an important decision in his career - to go abroad and improve his skills as a player. He arrived in Italy, Verona, at 19, where he spent one and a half seasons, constantly improving his game.
    His next step was Greenyard Msk - Belgium. Winning the Belgium championship gave him more confidence on the court and pushed Alex to return to Italy, in Ravenna. The young Bulgarian player spent two great seasons in Ravenna, improving himself in every game.
    While gaining confidence and desiring to reach the highest level in Volleyball, he decided to move to VeroVolley, in Monza.
    Then Grozdanov had the chance to join VeronaVolley, in the Italian city of Verona, where he currently plays.
    Moreover, Grozdanov has been on the Bulgarian national team since he was 18, conquering his place among more experienced players. Despite the National team having many ups and downs, changing coaches and having different faces, Grozdanov is waiting for the moment to shine and to win, making history for his own country.

    • What was the last thing you learnt? I found out a new hobby, namely playing golf

    • What is your favourite food? Banitsa: it is a typical Bulgarian meal.

    • What is your greatest strength? Patience.

    • What is your favourite movie? The pursuit of happiness.

    • Who is your hero? My father.

    • What motivates you? Family and friends.

    • Why do you play Volleyball? I love the game.

    • Why is your shirt number what it is? #11 is just my favourite number.

    • Who is your favourite Volleyball player to watch? Maxim Mikhailov. 

    • Which team do you love playing against? All the champions teams.

    • Who will win EuroVolley 2023? I hope Bulgaria!
