Miriam Sylla

Myriam Sylla was born on 8 January 1995 in Palermo. Sylla made her Serie A1 debut in 2011 with MC-Carnaghi Villa Cortese and then played with Bergamo from 2013 to 2018. 
In the 2018/19 season, she started playing with Imoco Volley in Serie A1, the Italian top League. With Imoco, she won three Italian Super Cups, three national titles, the 2019 World Club Championship, three Italian Cups and the 2020-21 Champions League. She currently plays with Vero Volley Milano. 
Bronze medalist at the European Championships in 2019, Sylla participated in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with Italy and won the silver medal at the Grand Prix in 2017. In 2018, she won 1st place at the Torneo in Montreux and the silver medal at the World Championships held in Japan.
In 2021, she won the gold medal at the European Championships. In 2022, she won the Volleyball Nations League and the bronze medal at the World Championships.

"I am honoured to have been nominated as Ambassador for the European Championship in Italy, and I am very excited to be able to debut at the Arena di Verona, a beautiful venue. I am also happy to play some matches in Monza, where I have been playing this season."
