Six cities – three in Poland plus one in each of the three remaining host countries, i.e. Czech Republic, Estonia and Finland – will welcome the ‘Volleyball party’ of the year 2021 – the much-awaited CEV EuroVolley Men! The CEV and the four co-organisers are proud to take the flagship event in European Volleyball to Katowice, Gdansk, Krakow, Ostrava, Tallinn and Tampere – where the top 24 teams in Europe will be competing for continental glory as well as for the two spots at stake to qualify for the 2022 edition of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship!

CEV EuroVolley 2021 Men will ‘stop’ in as many as three cities in Poland, which we all know as a true Volleyball-mad country! Krakow, where the final stages of the 2017 edition took place, will host the matches in one of the four pools. The competition will then move for four 8th Finals and two quarterfinal fixtures to Gdansk, where EuroVolley Men will return after matches took place in 2013 and 2017 as well. Finally, the city of Katowice will be hosting the semis and medal matches. There could not be a better place where to celebrate the new kings of European Volleyball after Serbia claimed gold last year in Paris!

As per the revolutionary concept introduced by the CEV in conjunction with the 2019 edition, EuroVolley takes place in as many as four countries, thus bringing the excitement that goes with elite Volleyball to a much larger audience than ever before. Ostrava in the Czech Republic will be hosting one pool as well as four 8th Finals plus two quarterfinal matches, thus making sure the Volleyball family will be returning to the city where EuroVolley Men took place back in 2001.

Finally, the cities of Tallinn and Tampere will be hosting the remaining pool matches – with EuroVolley Men coming to Estonia for the very first time in history. The Estonian capital city, however, has developed a wealth of experience in hosting major international sporting events, including the Final Four of the 2019 European Golden League – where CEV President Aleksandar Boričić announced that the Baltic country would be among the four co-hosts of CEV EuroVolley Men in 2021.

Tampere has been home to the Finnish Volleyball national team for many years already and it rightfully will be keeping this role for EuroVolley 2021 as well. The men’s European Volleyball Championship had previously taken place in Finland in 1977 and 1993, with matches of the latter edition held in Oulu and Turku. Tampere, on the other hand, had co-hosted the 1977 event together with Helsinki.

“We could not be any happier with the choice made for the host cities of next year’s EuroVolley Men,” said CEV President Aleksandar Boričić. “These are all vibrant, modern cities, a trait which is fully in line with the spirit of innovation and the dynamism that is driving forward our EuroVolley project since the total revolution that we launched with the 2019 edition. I thank the local and national authorities for their support and I am sure these six cities will all be perfect hosts to the most important event in European Volleyball. If conditions allow, we hope that as many international fans as possible can visit these cities to enjoy a truly memorable Volleyball party.”
