Serbia makes it Into the CEV EuroVolley 2023 Final

The echo from the incredible first semi-final of the day, between Türkiye and Italy, went well into the second match of the day, Serbia vs the Netherlands maintaining the vibrant atmosphere at the Palais 12 in Brussels.
As expected by many, Serbia started the match strong, taking advantage of the extremely high level of match awareness that Maja Ognjenovic and Tijana Boskovic possess. Business as usual, until the second set, when the Netherlands remembered that they had nothing to lose, getting a stunning lead of 9 points halfway through the set, pushing through until the end of the set to tie the game.
The Netherlands continued playing extremely well in the third, again managing to have a relatively comfortable 4 points lead. Serbia snapped out of it and slowly but surely got in control of the set, getting ahead in the match at the end of it.
The fourth set was more or less a repeat of the previous one, with the Netherlands looking in a strong position to push the semi-final into a tie break. When in doubt, Serbia knows it can rely on Tijana Boskovic to step up to the challenge, and so she did. With 29 points, Tijana delivered yet another MVP performance ensuring Serbia’s place in the Final.
