Anthi Vasilantonaki“We are very excited and happy with being at EuroVolley. We are here again after a break of many years. We want to do our best and continue our journey in this edition of EuroVolley. We started the tournament against a strong opponent such as Turkey and tomorrow we will play another very important game against France. We want to play even better than we did tonight.”

“The first day in such tournaments is really challenging. Today, I am very happy to have shown such a performance in front of the audience in Ankara and to have secured such a victory. I hope that we will continue the tournament in the same way. I would like to thank our fans for the nice atmosphere. While I was listening to the national anthem, I really had goose bumps. My eyes were full of tears. I was excited, of course, but I did not expect that to happen. Everything was fine until the game. I was so excited that I could have fainted. We will go to the hotel and start our preparations for the match with Finland. I hope it will be good as much as today’s match was. It was a nice way to start the tournament, so I am sure it will go on likewise.”
