Marco Fenoglio, Slovakia coach: “I am proud of my girls. We prepare from May to this game. I know, maybe sometimes you feel pressure, when you play at home. But we did it and we played strong in the end, like a team. I like we continue to push the opponent.”
Barbora Kosekova, Slovakia captain: “I am satisfied how many fans came to see us. And we won, which is fantastic.”
Maria José Corral Bouza, Spain setter: “My feelings are the same as we finished the game. We knew we could do it, we were leading in the first and in the second set until 20 point, but Slovakia was growing up and we were blocked. I don’t know why. Maybe we were nervous. And we did not know how to deal with this situation.”
Jaroslava Pencova, Slovakia middle-blocker: “I surprised also myself how I played today. I am glad coach trust in me. I enjoyed the game so much, especially after problems I had before the tournament.”
