Highlights
Overview
Day 4 in Pool C starts in Tampere with the host Finland playing against Spain. Spain is still hunting for their first win, but Finland will settle for no less either in front of their home crowd. Can Finland keep up the strong blocking game (18 blocks in first match) against Spanish Alvaro Gimeno Rubio? Finnish opposite Urpo Sivula needs to succeed as in the previous game. The game is expected to be an even battle of two teams both eager to qualify for the knock-out phase.

Tommi Siirilä“This is a fabulous start to the tournament for us with two wins from two matches. These are two big wins – and now the pressure on us has somehow dropped. I think today’s performance was even better than in our previous game with North Macedonia earlier this week. Therefore, the perspectives for us look good now in this pool. It really feels amazing to be playing in front of such a crowd – especially because it has been so long since the last time we could enjoy the support of our fans.”
