In the morning of their rest day at EuroVolley 2019 in Antwerp, the players of the national team of Belgium joined Ludo Van Campenhout, Sports Councillor of Antwerp and member of the Flemish Parliament, as well as officials from TopVolleyBelgium at the DIVA Museum in Antwerp for a press conference dedicated to the Red Dragons’ on-going success at the European Championship and a look forward to their upcoming challenges.

"We are very proud to host EuroVolley. It is one of the biggest events in European sports, especially because it is organised in four countries and even more cities. Gathering people to enjoy sports is one of our priorities; to support TopVolleyBelgium in this is very pleasing to us."

Ludo Van Campenhout
Sports Councillor of Antwerp and member of the Flemish Parliament

"Volleyball is one of the biggest and most popular sports worldwide. Our Red Dragons stand for fighting spirit and sportsmanship. For us it is very important to represent the value of unity."

Geert De Dobbeleer
EuroVolley 2019 Event Manager, Managing Director of Volley Vlandereen

"Our main focus now is not the second round or a possible quarterfinal. The key is winning against Slovakia tomorrow and go into the game with Serbia unbeaten. No need to concentrate on Saturday's eightfinal as we don't know the opponents yet. We will be prepared to face any of the Pool D teams with no fear - with lots of respect for their skills, but with no fear!"
